Coffee Day 21st July 2008

George and Jean hosted a great Coffee Day for us in July. It was a shame more members could not make it (winter flu blues?). Those present had a fantastic time enjoying the Technics GA3 - a great opportunity to familiarize with the same model organ that the Club has at its Club Rooms. Gordon was invited to bring along his Korg Pa1X keyboard for variety and so we had the music options well covered.

Club Night 1st July 2008

We were privileged to hear a consumate professional organist give us a fantastic concert. Ron played for over an hour and I suspect he enjoyed the occasion also. A special mention should be made that Ron visited our Past President George Watt's home at least three times to practise on George and Jean's Technics GA3 organ and in order to prepare his registration disks for the concert. Certainly the registrations, both theatre style and orchestral, were superb so the effort was very worthwhile.
Ron Clark played a great variety of styles
Ron demonstrated sounds we didn't know existed on the GA3
Ron explaining the next category of music
he was about to play

Ron really getting into the groove
Jim played very nicely - he has a Clavinova at home - lucky fellow
Ian Jackson amazed with his St Louis Blues
- not bad for a percussionist eh

John debuts on the Club's Clavinova - very nice touch John
Colleen giving a very polished performance as always
