A select number of our members attended for our Club Night and were rewarded with a variety of music styles played on our Yamaha Clavinova CVP-509, Korg Pa300, and vocals. To start the evening Roy Steen did the arrival music and shared this with Brian McMurray. In the first set and in order of play we had Peter Jackson singing to backing tracks. Peter was followed by Merv Adair on the Clavinova. After Merv we were treated to some classical pieces by a guest, Hugo Tan. Hugo is just 13 years old and has been playing piano for 3 years. Very nice playing indeed! To finish the first set, Roy Steen played his Korg Pa300 with some great sounds and a lively selection of songs.After the refreshments break, our guest artist, Denise Gunson, played for us beautifully on our Yamaha Clavinova CVP-509. Denise played both straight piano and some pieces with layered sounds and rhythms. A lovely selection of pieces as usual from Denise and ranging from Hoagie Carmichael to Connie Francis!
