Coffee Day was at our Club Rooms at the Takapuna Bowling Club this month. An enthusiastic group of members turned-up for a very relaxed afternoon of informal music and camaraderie. It was nice to see Helen Smith and Eileen France building enough confidence to play the keyboards as well as Mike Scott on the vocals.
A big thank you to the Committee for managing the day so well and to Dennis Lyons for taking the great photos.
A great turn-out for a great evening of music. Terrific variety of styles and contrast of instruments to enjoy. Arrivals music was ably provided by our Club Treasurer, Jim Nicholson, and followed by former Secretary, Colleen Kerr on the Clavinova. John Perkin then played his Korg Pa3X for us and followed by a very polished performance by Kuniko Nakatani on the Clavinova. The first half was finished nicely by Jan Johnston on her Korg Pa1X. After a refreshing tea break and good 'natter', we were royally entertained by our guest artists Denise Gunson on our Clavinova CVP-509 and Brian Gunson on his G&L guitar.
An evening to tuck-away in the archives of our memories of a splendid evening of music!
