Coffee Day at Mayfair Village - 20th April 2023

 Coffee Day for The North Shore Music and Keyboard Club was held this month at Mayfair Village, Northcross, North Shore, Auckland. Our members attending were made most welcome by the Management of the Village. We enjoyed a lovely day of music in a relaxed atmosphere in the sumptuous surroundings of this beautiful Village. A special highlight of the event was the pre-arranged concert given by a North Shore music teacher, Wu Liu, who brought along 7 of his piano students. Each student played at least one song solo and then a duet with Wu.

Club Night on 4th April 2023

 What a great night of music! We had a good turn-out of members and visitors to enjoy the evening. Arrival music was provided by Roy Steen on his Korg Pa300 keyboard and accompanied by Len Hancy providing vocals. In the first set we were entertained by Claude Moffat on the Clavinova piano and followed by Roy Steen on his Korg Pa300. To finish the first set, Rod and Nelleke Moffat played. Rod on his Korg Pa4X arranger keyboard and Nelleke providing the vocals.

After the Raffle and a refreshments break, we were wonderfully entertained by our Guest Artists, Joe Fingers on his Yamaha PSR-S950 arranger keyboard and for some numbers accompanied by his partner, Jill Webster providing vocals. An amazing demonstration of musical and arrangements skills by Joe to provide a wide diversity of styles of music and genres. We even had Joe accompanying himself on the keyboard with his penny whistle for a powerful Irish Folk song.
