What a fantastic way to finish a year of wonderful musical events and activities. All members of the Club were invited to our member Delyse Whorwood's home on Saturday afternoon and evening. We had some great music played on the Clavinova piano and the two arranger keyboards. It was a 'bring a plate' arrangement culminating in a splendid banquet. Even the weather was kind to us so we could enjoy indoor and outdoor flow. The Party coincided with a couple of members Birthdays and so these were celebrated as well, namely: Gordon Sutherland and Diane Lyons. Our final event will be Club Night on 6th December whence we have a great line-up of artists arranged together with our traditional Christmas Hamper raffle. An evening not to be missed!

A great evening of magnificent music and enjoyed by an enthusiastic audience. For logistic reasons, we were entertained by our guest artists, Conundrum, in the first set. They have a unique Folk/Rock style of play and are most exciting and energizing. After the refreshments break, we were entertained by Roy Steen and then Audrey Henden playing the Club's Yamaha Clavinova CVP-809 ensemble piano. To finish the evening, Taka Iida played his Yamaha Stagea two manual keyboard with pedals - magnificent playing and superb orchestrations. It was nice to welcome back Yuko and Hana Tani. Hana even gave a cameo performance on the Clavinova before the second set commenced. What a wonderful pianist Hana is turning into.

The OPKSA hall is open from 9.30 am to 2.30 pm each Wednesday for members to come along to socialise and play our instruments (two top-of-the-line organs, a Rodgers and a Lowrey, and a Clavinova CVP-307). Bring your own lunch, a cuppa will be provided. Mini Concerts: Held on the 4th Wednesday of each month from 10.45am to 12.00 noon - bring your music and play two pieces. Major Concerts: Approximately quarterly. Visitors are welcome to all our concerts and Club days. Dalewool Auckland Brass Hall, 98 Captain Springs Road, Onehunga.
