Coffee Day at Knightsbridge Village 21st August 2018

What a great day at the lovely Knightsbridge Village. A very large audience of residents, Club members and visitors were treated to a wonderful day of music, companionship, and great food! We were hard-pressed to fit-in the the eager members wishing to play on the day, with lots of keyboards brought along and good use of the Village's Kawai grand piano. A big thank you to our host, Margaret Black and Knightsbridge Village. Also Kay Boyes, the Club's Events Manager, did a great co-ordination job and the Committee worked hard to make sure the day went smoothly.

Club Night 7th August 2018

A good size audience were treated to a feast of different varieties of music from traditional folk music with vocals to full orchestral recitals of semi-classical pieces. We had piano playing, singing, orchestrated piano and a full-blown Yamaha Electone Stagea two-manual keyboard with pedalboard and played by our guest artist Taka Iida.
In the first set, we were entertained by Jim Nicholson who kindly provided the arrival music; Linus Treefoot on his ensemble digital piano and accompanied on vocals by his friend John Letharby. Next up we enjoyed Ian Jackson play a variety of styles on the Clavinova. To finish the first set we were entertained by the very polished performance of Jan and Kevin Johnston. Jan on her Korg Pa1X arranger keyboard and Kevin on his Crafter acoustic guitar.
All in all, another splendid night of musical entertainment.
