What a great night at The North Shore Music and Keyboard Club's monthly Club Night meeting. We were entertained by Roy Steen for the arrival music using our Clavinova CVP-809. Then Mary Elvin-Brown entertained us on the Clavinova also. For something different, Len Hancy conducted a sing-along session whereby we the audience chose the song we wished to hear, and Len brought it up on his laptop as a karaoke file. We were each issued with a book of several hundred songs to choose from! Very enjoyable!
After the raffle and a refreshments break, our member, Paul McIsaac, entertained us for 40 minutes using his eighty-eight key Kurzweil PC5-8 workstation linked to his laptop to access his favourite sounds using Keyscape. Above his Kurzweil, Paul used his Korg 76 note Pa3X arranger keyboard. Paul played a variety of genres to delight us all, including a few requests from the audience.
A most enjoyable evening. We were sorry that our committee members, Russell and Kay Boyes, could not join us as Russell was not well. Get well soon Russell.
