Another fantastic evening of music! An audience of 50 persons heard some great music played by some of our members in the first half using four keyboards and the Clavinova - great diversity and lovely music. The second-half of the evening was taken-over by our special guest artist, Rendall Miller, who played a programme of 19 pieces and an encore! We are privileged to have such a talented pianist in Auckland. Rendall had pre-recorded two songs on the Clubs Technics GA3 organ at a familiarization session last week. Rendall then proceeded to play the two pieces back on the organ whilst accompanying himself on the Clavinova! Rendall is a professional organist as well as pianist! Fascinating stuff. All in all, a splendid evening of music, fun and camaraderie.
The raffle prizes (kindly donated by Evelyn Evans) were won by Jack Briscoe (the ladies purses set) and Jesse Osbourne (the Ann Geddes photo album). It was pleasing to see the uptake of the music CD's that Rendall had brought along at the special Club Night special price - in fact, Rendall told me after the concert that he had sold out!
Here are the photos:
John Beales playing the arrival music on his new Korg Pa500. Well done John - nice arrangements and smooth playing.
Colin Crann did a very nice cameo of a song he played last month. Last month there was a glitch with the memory stick registrations but it sounded great this month!

Des Rouse played his Yamaha PSR 3000 very nicely as always.
Ngaire McRae treated us to three great arrangements played in classical piano style on the Clavinova. See Ngaire, the practice did pay off!
Skip Eade brought his Korg Pa1X along and played four pieces for us with some great styles and slick playing.
