What a great day for a Coffee Day at a beautiful venue (the Johnston's home), in a lovely part of Auckland (Algies Bay) on a magic day weather wise. Those that made the effort to attend were well rewarded with a terrific variety of music and instruments and lots of convivial conversation and not to mention a sensational lunch and BBQ dinner for those that stayed on into the evening. We even had an appreciative audience as we played - Kevin had invited members of the local fishing club to share the occasion and which added to the overall ambience and excitement for the day.
A very big thank you to Jan and Kevin for putting on this Coffee Day. I know it took several people from the fishing club together with Kevin to erect the marvellous and spacious marquee which gave us great shelter from the gorgeous warmth and radiance from the Sun. Also, Both Jan and Kevin really went to much trouble to give us a magnificent banquet both for lunch and BBQ dinner.

Club Night 4th February 2014
A great start to a New Year for our first Club Night. A good turn-out of members and visitors were treated to some great music on a variety of keyboard instruments. First-half of the program saw Diane Lyons playing the arrival music on her new Korg Pa900 and followed by Gordon Sutherland and then Michael Bramley. Diane Lyons returned to play some pieces including vocals and followed by Roy Steen who also crooned to some of his pieces. After the raffle and a tea break we were entertained by Chris Larking of Mainline MusicWorks Albany on the very latest Yamaha Tyros 5 (76 note version) keyboard. Great playing and great sounding keyboard.
A big thank you to the Committee for their hard work organising the event and a special thanks to Sylvia Riddell for sharing door duties for the evening.
