Coffee Day 20th April 2021

 What a great Coffee Day at Parklane Village, Sunnynook. The Village has a lovely lounge area for us to play and relax in and we entertained the residents using their very nice Schimmel grand piano and a Korg Pa3X plus a Korg Pa4X arranger/keyboards. The kitchen did a great job with a wonderful variety of lunches both off the shelf and a la carte and at very reasonable prices. Some of our members were unavailable to attend due to sickness and some for being out of town. Nevertheless, the music never stopped from 10.15am to 3.00pm.

Club Night 6th April 2021

What a great evening of music provided by our very special guest artists: Ben Fernandez on Clavinova and Warren Mondonsa on electric guitar. We held our 2021 AGM at the start of the evening and so we did not have any Club players in the first half. However, Paul McIsaac did a great job on the arrival music making use of our Clavinova CVP-809's arranger features.

After an early refreshments break, Ben and Warren gave us a stunning performance for 45 minutes. What a great interaction they achieved playing jazz standards we love as well as some great original compositions from Ben. Ben brought along some of his latest CD for members to buy at a great price! The album was produced and orchestrated in professional a production studio. All original compositions on the CD and created by Ben during the Covid lockdown last year. the album is titled "The Music Never Stopped". Well worth a listen.

It was pleasing to have a large turn-out of members and visitors to support both the Club and in particular our special guest artists.
