Club Night 5th June 2018

What a great evening of fantastic music of such a diverse nature. A good number of our members turned-up for this Club Night and were not disappointed! In the first-half we had four of our members perform for us: Ron Clingin on his Korg Pa80; Kay Boyes on the Clavinova; Len Hancy vocals and background music provided by his computer; and, Rob Powell on Clavinova.

After a refreshment break, we were ready for a fantastic concert by professional musician, Nick Jones, on his electric and acoustic violins. Nick thrilled us we a diverse range of music including some semi-classics and his own interpretation of some 'golden' pop songs such as: Pirates of the Caribbean; Stairway to Heaven; Classical Gas; and, Leonard Cohen's classic, Hallelujah, amongst a myriad of other lovely songs. Got to be one of the best evenings we have had.

A big thank you to all the Committee members and volunteers helping with desk duties, kitchen duties, and, logistics.

Coffee Day at Fairview Lifestyle Village 15th May 2018

Another very enjoyable Coffee Day at Fairview Lifestyle Village. Good resident support and great mixture of music from the keyboards and grand piano plus vocalists. We have been playing at Fairview Lifestyle Village now for about 8 years and  what a lovely place to share music. We enjoyed a lovely lunch provided by the caterers as well! A big thank you to Kay and Russ Boyes and Diane Lyons for organizing and to Delyse Whorwood for helping to man the Raffle Table.

Club Night 1st May 2018

Some great music played this evening on the keys.  Ian Jackson played the arrival music on our Clavinova and followed by Gordon Sutherland on his Korg Pa4X. Next, Denise Gunson played the Clavinova for us and followed by Rod and Nelleke Moffat on his Korg Pa4X (76 note) and Nelleke on vocals. Thank you for your great music.

After a refreshments break we were treated to a wonderful display of musicianship with our guest artist, Mark Shiloh, playing our Club Yamaha Clavinova CVP-509. Mark played a variety of styles including an original waltz composition! Mark's arrangements are all unique and a delight to listen to. Thank you Mark for a great concert.
