Coffee Day at Knightsbridge Village

A wonderful day for members of our Club and residents of the lovely Knightsbridge Village. There was plenty of support from residents who seemed to thoroughly enjoy the music. Coffee and tea were kindly provided free of charge by the Village and there was a lovely, a la carte menu for lunch from the cafeteria with prices being very reasonable. We were thrilled that the Manager from MusicWorks Albany, Chris Larking, came along as our special guest artist and entertained us all with a mini-concert (albeit in a nice and relaxed format) to end what was a great Coffee Day/Community Music Day.
A big thank you to our gracious host and Club member, Margaret Black, for organising and promoting the event at the Village. As usual, a big thank you to our Committee for helping the day run so smoothly.

Club Night 3rd June 2014

What a great Club Night! A near full house enjoyed some great music. In the first-half, arrival music was provided by Laurie Conder who then played in the main body of the first-half as well. We were also entertained by Warren Levick on Clavinova and Brian and Denise Gunson on guitar and Clavinova. After a leisurely tea break we were entertained by our very special guest artist, Rendall Miller, who gave a wonderful Concert on our Clavinova CVP-509.

A big thank you to our Committee for making the evening go so smoothly.

Coffee Day at Mayfair Village on 19th May 2014

What a great Coffee Day. This was our first visit to Mayfair Village, Northcross, North Shore and our members were given a very warm welcome. What a lovely Village and magnificent lounge that we were privileged to share with the residents for the day. We started at 10 am and carried through until about 3.30 pm and culminating in a mini-Concert given by professional pianist, Denise Gunson. A big thank you to all our members for sharing the fun and providing great music for the residents on Community Music Day.

A big thank you to: Diane Lyons, the Club Events Manager; Dennis Lyons, Club Photographer; Delyse Whorwood, Club Secretary; Sylvia Riddell; and last but not least, Club Treasurer, Laurie Conder. We appreciate and acknowledge also the Music Group at Mayfair Village for facilitating the day and in particular Marion. The kitchen staff did a great job also with a superb lunch at very reasonable prices that our members and residents tucked into! Also, a big thank you to the Music Group of the Village for 'shouting' afternoon tea for our Club members.

The resident must have enjoyed the music as we were invited back next year and that will be our pleasure as we enjoyed the day too!
