Club Night 7th February 2012

What a wonderful way to start the New Year's musical calendar for our Club. We had close to a full house (thank you for your support) of members and visitors to hear some great music by our members in the first half and then an awesome concert on our top-of-the-line Clavinova given by TV personality and now Education Manager for the the MusicWorks Group, Andy Keys. Arrival music was covered by Colin Crann on the Clavinova and followed by Des Rouse; Yvonne Moller; Pam Rea all on their own keyboards. To finish the first half, Peter Littlejohn, gave us some lively music on the Clavinova.
For the second half, Andy Keys played a full 50 minutes of classical excerpts which he played expertly and rather uniquely. Andy played each piece twice, once using straight piano and then orchestrated with sounds and rhythms just for fun! A great, inspirational Concert. Thank you Andy Keys.

A big thank you to the Committee for making the event happen and to Sylvia Riddell and Yvonne Crann for handling the door duties on the night.

Our special guest artist was Andy Keys from the MusicWorks Group. Andy gave us a wonderful concert using both basic piano and orchestration for the classical pieces he chose. Andy certainly brought the Club's top-of-the-range Clavinova CVP-509 to life.
