What a great day! Our third visit to Settlers Albany Lifestyle Village to share our Community Music Day was enjoyed by over 70 people from the Village and our members. We started at about 10.30 am and raged on until about 4.00 pm. Members played 15 minute slots and then at 2.30 pm our guest artists played: firstly, Taka Iida on his wonderful Yamaha D-Deck two manual keyboard and followed by professional musician, Ben Fernandez, accompanied by Pauline Grogan on vocals. We were treated to a great selection of food from the cafeteria both for morning tea and then for lunch. The Club provided tea and coffee on tap all day. A big thank you to our host for the day, Barbara McNab, and the Settlers Albany Lifestyle Village for sharing their beautiful lounge with us. Also, a big thank you to sound man, Warren, from the Village who controlled the grand piano microphone pickup to project the sound throughout the large lounge. The Club's Committee members also did a great job manning the information desk.
Video of Ben Fernandez:
Ben has generously given permission for the Club to place his performance on YouTube for Public viewing. The video is a medley of four songs Ben played at the end of his Cameo guest appearance at this Community Music Day. Enjoy!
