February 2017 Club Night

What a great start to the new year with a near full house enjoying the entertainment on a lovely summers evening. In the first half we were entertained in order of play by: Peter Longbottom; Dorothy Waddel; Audrey Henden; and Denise Gunson. After the refreshments break our guest artists were Joe Fingers and his wife, Jill, on vocals. Joe is a consummate musician/entertainer and played the first half to a set programme and then opened-up for audience requests. Joe played both the Bowling Club's acoustic piano and his Yamaha PSR-S950 arranger/keyboard. This was an auspicious occasion, as 7th February happens to be Joe’s birthday! His friends at the NSOKC were very pleased to wish him a very happy 68th Birthday in the usual way. As with last year, Joe and Jill received a standing ovation for his wonderful music and great jokes!

A big thank you to the Committee and members for helping with door duties, kitchen duties and tidy-up at the end of the evening.
