What a great turn-out after our enforced 4 month COVID-19 lockdown. A wintry evening outside but cozy in our Club Rooms and some really 'hot' music.
Arrival music was kindly given by Brian McMurray on the Clavinova. The four 15 minute first-half slots were provided by: Yvonne Moller on her Korg Pa3X; Roy Steen on his Korg Pa300; Linus Treefoot on his Korg Havian 30; and Denise Gunson on the Yamaha Clavinova CVP-509.
After a refreshments break to catch-up on 4 months news, we were entertained by our very own member, Patrick McMillan. Patrick is a professional pianist and he gave us a wonderful variety of light jazz standards using the Clavinova. Good use of alternate sound and layering added to the enjoyment of the concert.
The Club members agreed at this meeting to follow the advice of its Committee and purchase a brand new, state of the art, Yamaha Clavinova CVP-809. Something exciting to look forward to on future Club Nights and should be a joy for our professional guest artists and members to play.
