What a wonderful way to finish the North Shore Music and Keyboard Club's calendar for the year. We had a great turn-out of members and guests for our Christmas Club Night. Great music, great Christmas Hamper Raffle, and a lovely Christmassy supper in the interval.
In the first set, we were entertained by Roy Steen on his Korg Pa300 arranger keyboard for the arrival music and followed by Graeme Webber, Denise Gunson, and Marion Robertson all playing on the Yamaha Clavinova CVP-809. The general theme was centered around Christmas carols of course and what a lovely variety played. After the big Christmas Hamper Raffle (eleven buckets full of lovely eats and drinks kindly donated by our members), we had our supper which our Catering Manager, Karen Steen, layed-on for us with lots of lovely Christmassy things to eat.
For the second set, our guest artists for the evening were The Loris Zigon Trio who thrilled us with their renditions of jazz standards. What an excellent selection of songs and superb musicianship.
A wonderful way to finish a busy year of musical activities for the Club. A big thank you to the Committee for making the Christmas Year End Club Night and all previous events during the year such an enormous success.
