What a great night of music! We had a wide range of genres and instruments that we were treated to. It was great to have a significant number of visitors share the evening with us and I think all present thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
In the first set, Brian McMurray treated us to some lovely piano playing on our Yamaha Clavinova CVP-809. Brian was followed by Graeme Webber on our Clavinova as well. Graeme used the styles/rhythms to great affect to enhance the jazz standards that he played. Peter Littlejohn then played his Korg Pa1X with great aplomb. To finish the first set, Linus Treefoot played his Korg Havian 30 ensemble piano and accompanied by John Lethaby who played acoustic guitar, harmonica and vocals. Wonderful stuff by all artists.
After the raffle draw and a refreshments break, we were entertained in the second set by Paul Brown (stage name 'Pablo'). Paul brought along an electric and an acoustic guitar together with his PA system. Paul played guitar and vocals whilst using high quality backing tracks to create a full band type performance. Paul played music from the 50's through the 90's including a great arrangement of Santana's 'Smooth' that was an audience request! There is a video of most of Paul's performance.
