Club Night 4th September 2012

Some Club Nights are special and this one was 'top-draw'. A very gratifying large turn-out of members and visitors were treated to a feast of wonderful music by our members in the first half and then our very special Guest Artist, Ron Stanwell, President of the Tauranga Organ and Keyboard Society. Ron came up special from Tauranga to give the concert for us. This was the first time he has played for our Club and it was worth the 34 year wait! Ron brought his Yamaha Tyros 3 keyboard and showed his mastery of the keyboard built-up over 60+ years of playing both in NZ and UK. It was a great pleasure to honour our retiring Secretary, Colleen Kerr, with a presentation and bouquet of flowers for her dedication over many years to the Club. Colleen will remain on the Committee we are pleased to advise. Peter Littlejohn has kindly agreed to be our acting-Secretary.
